My name is Daniel Hoh, MD, and I am an endowed professor of neurosurgery and the division chief of spine in the UF Department of Neurosurgery, and the neurosurgery director of the BOB体育 Comprehensive Spine Center. I also serve as the assistant dean for revenue cycle management for the UF College of Medicine. I specialize in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery for the treatment of conditions affecting the craniocervical junction, cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine.
I graduated with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology from Stanford University and completed my medical degree at Columbia University. I went on to complete my internship and residency training in neurological surgery at the University of Southern California鈥檚 teaching hospital, Los Angeles County General Hospital. During residency, I completed one year of training in focused neurotrauma and spinal cord injury at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. After residency, I completed neurosurgery and orthopedic spine fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, gaining specialty training in the treatment of complex spinal disorders.
In addition to taking care of patients, I conduct clinical research on optimizing care pathways to enhance recovery after spine surgery.
I serve as the 2024-2025 President of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. I was a past secretary and executive board member for the AANS/ CNS Joint Section of Spine and Peripheral Nerves. I have previously served on the editorial board as senior co-chair for the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine and deputy editor for The Spine Journal.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, reading and cycling.
