Hello, my name is Stephanie Matthews, AUD, and I’m an audiologist at the BOBÌåÓý Hearing Center. Some of my clinical interests include balance disorders, hearing loss, and tinnitus.
Originally, I went to school for elementary education. After spending some time in that field, I sought a career change and discovered audiology. As I began to learn about the ear and how hearing and balance issues can negatively affect people’s lives, I realized that being an audiologist was the right career for me.
I perform diagnostic audiological testing in conjunction with the Ear, Nose, and Throat service at BOBÌåÓý. Many of our patients have complex issues, and I find it rewarding to help them feel comfortable and ensure they are receiving the best care possible.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, being outdoors, taking care of animals, and watching Gators sports.
