My bio
My name is Dr. Eric Rosenberg, and I serve as associate dean for continuing medical education for the University of Florida College of Medicine. I鈥檓 also chief of the division of general internal medicine in the UF Department of Medicine. My clinical practice as a general internal medicine physician is focused on treating adults with complex medical problems. I specialize in assessing and improving the readiness of individuals with these problems to undergo surgery to treat cancer and other conditions. I particularly enjoy teaching medical students and physicians, training them in how to care for adults who need primary care or are hospitalized. My newest role is focused on leading efforts to innovate and support continuing medical education activities for physicians that enhance knowledge and emphasize the most current developments in medical and surgical practice throughout BOB体育.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia before earning my Master of Science in public health and medical degrees from the University of South Florida. I completed my residency training at UF, where I served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship program for academic physicians at the University of North Carolina.
I knew I wanted to become a physician from the age of 7. I have always been fascinated by medical science, human physiology and the history of medical progress. In addition to my clinical work, I have contributed to efforts to improve medical care quality, reduce errors and prevent harm to patients. I directed the UF College of Medicine鈥檚 patient safety course for medical students and taught the application of clinical research methods related to clinical decision-making (evidence-based medicine) to health science students at all levels. I have collaborated on various studies on medication safety and how to develop curricula to teach quality improvement and patient safety principles to health science students.
I enjoy running, hiking and traveling with my wife and children to our national parks. I am a proud 鈥済randpa鈥 to our two mini schnauzers, who we love dearly. One of my favorite hobbies involves landscape photography.
