My bio
My name is Divya Patel, MD, and I am an assistant professor in the University of Florida Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. I also serve as director of the sarcoidosis program and as co-director of UF鈥檚 interstitial lung disease program, in addition to serving on the executive committee in UF Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine.
I earned my medical degree from Kansas City University and went on to complete an internship, internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Thereafter, I completed an advanced fellowship in pulmonary sciences and critical care medicine at University of Colorado/National Jewish Health in Denver.
I am board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. I belong to several professional societies, including the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians and World Association for Sarcoidosis and other Granulomatous Disorders, in addition to having contributing to several clinical trials and publications.
