My bio
Dr. Horn, director of our Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and Cell Therapy Program, earned her medical degree at the University of Zagreb. She completed a pediatric residency at Case Western Reserve University, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at the National Cancer Institute and another in pediatric neuro-oncology at UCSF. Her research efforts have focused on developing reduced intensity conditioning regimens for children, improving outcomes for children with brain tumors by using high-dose chemotherapy and stem cell support, reducing transplant-related mortality, reducing relapse after transplant and developing regimens for transplant of newborns with immune deficiencies. She is a member of the AAP, the Children鈥檚 Oncology Group, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium and the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy.
