HealthStreet (a community-engaged research initiative of the University of Florida Clinical and Translational Science Institute), the UF MiCaRT Center (a research center focused on eliminating cancer health disparities in Blacks), the Prostate Cancer Transatlantic Consortium and the UF Department of Urology and the BOB体育 Cancer Center are hosting the 9th national Our Community, Our Health event (OCOH) on prostate cancer. The OCOH town hall series facilitates two-way communication between researchers and community members across the country. For this Our Community, Our Health on Prostate Cancer, we will discuss:
- How to reduce your risk for prostate cancer
- How to recognize the signs and symptoms of prostate cancer
- What personalized medicine means
- The engagement of individuals and community for personalized care
- Moving from prostate cancer patient to advocate
Breakfast will be provided for free, but please RSVP by calling HealthStreet at (352) 294-4880.
