The UF College of Nursing Research Day will feature faculty and student research poster presentations in areas such a management of symptoms associated with aging and chronic illnesses including cancer, disparities in health and health service and translational research in families. Student posters will be judged and prizes awarded.

The Malasanos Distinguished Lectureship brings distinguished speakers to the university every year to discuss a wide variety of health topics of interest to clinicians, patients and the public. Dr. Gail Keenan is an international leader in nursing informatics whose work has helped improve electronic communications among health care teams. She came to the University of Florida College of Nursing as the Annabel Davis Jenks endowed professor for teaching and research in clinical nursing excellence in September 2014.
