3:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Lab Tours of the Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease (Staffed by CTRND) - 4th floor.
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Brief remarks by Drs. Golde and Guzick followed by guest speaker and Emmy award winning correspondent Charles Sabine (cocktails & hors d'oeuvres served.)
Along with special guest speaker, Charles Sabine, the Grand Opening celebration will feature photographs by artist Judith Fox from her book, I Still Do: Loving and Living.
Three years into their marriage, Judith Fox's husband, Dr. Edmund Ackell, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Dr. Ackell was the first dean of UFs College of Dentistry, provost for health affairs at UF from 1968-1973 and later served as the President for Virginia Commonwealth University. Judith Foxs photographs will be on display in the atrium of the Biomedical Sciences building on Friday, October 19th from approximately 3:00 PM-6:00 PM. The photographs were generously donated to UF and will be on permanent display following the Grand Opening celebration.
