The mission of Community House of Long Island is to obtain and operate a physical site where all gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people and their supporters can meet in fellowship to promote the cultural, economic, social, and physical welfare of our community through prideful affirmation, community, fun, education, and service.		Helping to open doors and bring forth the talents and voices of LGBT youth is the National Gay & Lesbian College Fund. This initiative provides a national resource of financial support, information and empowerment for those seeking to continue their education.

P-FLAG is a support, education and advocacy group dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender persons and their families and friends. Monthly meetings are held on the second Sunday of every month from 3-5 pm at the St. Bartholomew's Community House, 109 East 50 Street. For more information about the organization, call (212)463-0629		BECOME A MEMBER OF NOW-NYC - THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR WOMEN- NEW YORK CITY CHAPTER Currently over 3000 members strong, our chapter works towards equality for women with a focus on several key issues: battling racism and violence against women, guaranteeing reproductive rights, advocating lesbian and bisexual rights, fighting for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment.

"Orthodykes" is a monthly support group for Orthodox and formerly Orthodox Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender women.		Resources for Lesbians, Lesbian Information, Lesbian News, Lesbian Links etc.
